Excellent staff. Breakfast limited in offerings. Room smaller than anticipated, don't plan to spend time in it. Dining means driving except for Hardees in front. Great Shower. Microtel idea is to be sensitive to expenditures. OK but such hotels in Europe offer more variety in dining. Felt safe in area.

Overall decent with a few minor adjustments

The room had a mildew odor upon walking in but appeared clean once we got air on it went away so maybe just musty...definitely needs new pillows they were covered in sweat stains and drool when you removed cases. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was all carbs need soon hot protein options.

We didn't realize we had a handicap room, but being in our 70's, we appreciated the extra grab bars, etc. Sometimes those tub/showers are slippery for us.

A little hard to find your way into, but a good facility once you get there. It is walkable to downtown South Charleston which has good restaurants, bars, and other shops.
