This is a 3 star Embassy Suites unlike the many other 4 star Embassy Suites I used in different cities. Overall, it was satisfactory. satisfactory.but too many things

I have stayed at several Embassy Suites, and this one is well below brand standard. Its a great location, but I would not stay here again until at least the rooms have been renovated...my room was very musty, and the furnishings are very tired. On the plus side, the valets have some parking to play with, so it is superior to the other downtown hotels if you are someone who drives and dislikes the hassles of curbside valet.

The room was spotless and the staff very courteous. The interior could use some TLC but was not bad. We were surprised upon check in to find the valet parking and parking at a garage down the street were the only options at $48/night. It's not mentioned in the hotel description or reviews that I found. Plenty of restaurants close by.

The room was in good condition but the mattresses were horrible. Minimum contact with staff. Parking was a shocker been a valet, I like access to my car as I want and not to ask permission for it.

The menu breakfast was very fresh and staff attentive. Although the room was clean it needs a major upgrade. The staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful. The manager reception was a nice added free service.

Phone in the room did not work to call the front desk. I got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes and they had to pry the doors open to get me out. Staff was very nice.

Rooms were clean. I liked that our room had a door to the sleeping area- it sure kept the noise down and we slept well. It is an older hotel and could use some updates. But the staff was great and breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever has!
