This was a nice place to stay. Great price. Staff very nice. Location great, easy to find. Great Mexican Restaurant attached. Would stay there again if needed to be in or near Iowa City.

The room was pretty clean and the front desk girls were great! On Sunday morning went down for breakfast and the lady working in the kitchen was very rude!!! I spoke with the front desk lady and told her how rude she was. A couple of older guest came in just a bit after 9:00am and she was very rude to them and told them that they would have to go out to lobby to eat. We felt bad so we let them sit at our table and the staff said “Oh wonderful!” and was very upset that we got up to let them sit down. I feel that should not be in hospitality if that is how is going to treat people.

Breakfast was crap with no real choices. You had to smash your shoulder into the door to open the room door. Slam the bathroom door to get it to close. And apparently there is a fee per pet for the pet friendly rooms. Nothing listed when so booked. Will not stay there again

The room seemed clean, but a little outdated. We would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room. When we were checking out, the employee at the front desk was having a very loud phone conversation. We could not tell if it was another employee or a guest, but it was quite heated and awkward for us to witness.
