THE TENT: The 320 sq. ft. luxury safari tent was hand crafted by Exclusive Tents out of South Africa, who have been in business for over 30 years, serving customers like Sir Richard Branson and his Virgin collection. The octagon shaped Bachuma tent sits on 1000 sq ft of deck space and has 6 floor-to-ceiling netted windows, allowing for cooling cross breezes, and 2 secure doors. The front door opens directly onto the private 22’ saltwater infinity pool with unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and the back door allows private access to an oversized garden shower. A garden foot path and attached bamboo gate offers easy access from the pool deck to the coral stone outdoor shower. The tent’s 14’ ceiling and 6’ netted windows allow for natural air living, with the option to air condition if you’d prefer. Interior furnishings include a locally made 4 poster king bed fitted with luxury white bedding and oversized pillows. There are 2 plantation lounge chairs, a small table and a low profile woven bench.
The interior bathroom includes a river rock vanity sink, a wardrobe with drawers, towel rack and toilet.
The outdoor kitchen and mahogany bar include a gas barbecue, mini-fridge with freezer, utility sink, a collection of appliances that include an air fryer, blender, toaster, coffee maker, cooler for ice and your general kitchen supplies. The bbq has a cast iron griddle and a fish basket for the catch of the day!

A large grassy area adjacent to the deck is another lovely spot to gaze at the ocean shaded by a towering almond tree.
The tech elements are a Bluetooth speaker for your holiday soundtrack and a mini-projector with a 100” fabric screen to stream your favourite content, either outside or directly onto the tent canvas ceiling!
THE PROPERTY: The property has a quaint white sand beach area with loungers and a hammock under mature almond and coconut trees. It has direct easy stair access to the water and natural beach, consisting of sand, pebbles and rocks…and is a fun place to collect shells and sea glass. The protected cove is host to a collection of snorkelling reefs (snorkelling gear supplied) abundant with tropical fish, coral and the occasional turtle and octopus! The top of the property is where our orchard is located, with fruiting trees such as mango, avocado, orange, grapefruit, lemon, cocoa, soursop, lime and passion fruit. You will also discover cherry, breadfruit, guava, pineapples, watermelons and many other fruit and vegetable species throughout the property. With an abundance of coconut trees, you can request fresh coconut water to sip poolside when the gardener is on site.
Leaving the property by foot, you can easily stroll (or jog for those looking for a good run), around the peninsula to visit historic sites like the Vigie Lighthouse, the British Barracks & Meadows Battery and other war time relics scattered about. Of course the golden sands of Vigie Beach is an easy 10 minute saunter, with its collection of seaside restaurants, bars and rentable beach chairs. Local Castries restaurants are just 5 mins away by car, including the beautiful Coal Pot Restaurant located waterside or The Pink Plantation House perched above Castries on the picturesque Mourne. Other restaurants and bars are throughout the capital, including at Pointe Seraphine, the duty free, cruise ship, outdoor shopping district. But don’t be surprised if the peaceful magic of Lumière keeps you from going anywhere.
Our concierge is always on call to help answer any questions or arrange services and experiences. We can arrange private boat trips to the Pitons and volcano, sometimes directly from Lumière’s if water conditions allow. We work with a car service company so please ask about airport transfers or land tours. For health and wellness we offer in-house professional massages.

We will also be adding more waterfront decks, walkways and hopefully a swim-up dock to make your stay even more comfortable and fun! This new tent location still supports our priority of offering a private and relaxed environment. *Work commences Oct through Nov and is not directly connected to this tent or its designated gardens areas and does not impede activity on any advertised views etc. We are so excited to share this good news! Both tents will be completely private from each other through the use of their locations, gardens and privacy elements.
