The staff was friendly, the room was clean, but a little funky. Wallpaper, was starting to peel, main door frame was broken, but it was ok. Dining in Nelson was great.

Room size and lake views for the price are a great value for the area. Very friendly staff. We were warned about the potential noise from the trains that pass by but they’re weren’t that much of a disturbance. Balcony was nice but could have been cleaner. Needed to be swept and spider webs removed. Patio lights are bright and can not be turned off.

The room was way smaller than it looks in the pictures. The balcony was nice. If we did not have that, it would have been way worse. There was mold in the bathroom walls, that was off putting. The room was fine for the price. But if you want to use the pool it’s a 10 min walk. Might as well stay at that sister hotel. Plus that’s where the restaurants were. We don’t mind walking but also nice to have a closer option.

Our room was not clean, the housekeeping staff did not vacuum well (there was used dental floss on the carpet under the desk) there was a used dirty cloth in the bathroom hanging on the shower curtain. We were asked to move our motorcycles into one stall, which was barely big enough for one bike. The “motorcycle parking” was not big enough and against the building when cars could potentially hit the bikes. No amenities, bed was uncomfortable and just not to our satisfaction. Will not be staying here again.

Great staff and customer service but a very 3 star property. Nothing remarkable about this location but the lake view from the room was nice. We did not use the facilities at the sister resort, however we did walk by and thought it seemed significantly nicer. The train is no joke that comes by!
