The property is extremely nice It is a boutique hotel, so expect small rooms with just what is needed. Pool area is amazing and I will heartily reciben the gobernador cocktail with either rum or bourbon.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of the wall city. Within walking distance to restaurants and other attractions. Eli at the reception was very friendly and pleasant. Juan at the restaurant provided excellent service. Breakfast was very good, with many options. The jacuzzi was not warm. We were told it would take a while to heat up, but it didn't. Overall

This hotel is right in the middle of everything. Most ealking tours meet at the clock tower which is a 4 minute walk away. It is never lonely or desolate. And while there are vendor and tourists all over, I was never bothered by any noise. The hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was also really good. The front desk staff were all so friendly.

Fantastic property located in the center of old Cartagena. Beautiful rooms. Very nice colonial style design. Finally, just outstanding helpful and very pleasant and friendly staff. I had a wonderful stay here. Though it was for a short time, my party of two was throughly taken care of from beginning to end. Jorge, the night manager, made sure any questions were answered about the hotel or surrounding areas--what was available to us, what was safe, what would be entertaining, etc. He was always kind, bright, and helpful. The hotel staff were always polite and warm, as well. We had the first room on the first floor, which was concerning to me, at first, due to the music that plays. I am a very light sleeper. However, though the room wasn't soundproof to the music or people in the lobby or open seating area, it did a great job of blocking out the sounds and I slept very well throughout each night. My friend enjoyed the breakfast and sitting areas to study. I enjoyed the comfortable beds and spacious shower with excellent hot water. The rooms are a little dim for me, but overall the soft lighting helps keep you relaxed once you return indoors from the hustle and bustle of the nearby streets of the Walled City. Money exchanges are nearby with great rates; bars and restaurants are all aorund; souvenirs are easy to get close by; Great location! It is largely due to Hotel Casa del Gobernador that I had such a warm and seamless welcome into Cartagena, and that I felt safe and like I had family looking out for me if anything were to ever occur (nothing did and I never once felt as it would, btw, but it's nice to have support whenever traveling abroad).
