Great to stay in this historic structure. Out of Barcelona is a plus. If you’re looking for something else other than peace and tranquility this is a good option. We ate in the bar area. Food was mediocre and staff somewhat “ black and white” in affect. Montserrat is a good day trip from here. Room was comfortable.

This was the first time that we have stayed in a parador. To be able to stay in surroundings so beautiful and full of history is a real privilege. The views from the castle were simply amazing. The staff were all pleasant and professional. We took the additional tour of the castle (at extra cost) which was in spanish which was too difficult for us, maybe either a leaflet explaining the tour or an audio/visual aid would improve the tour for non native speakers. Overall thoroughly recommended.

It was an incredible experience. The castle was exactly as pictured. So dramatic and so much history. This is a must do. It’s only an hour and a half outside of Barcelona and the rental car process was super easy. But you can also take a train.

The room was amazing and perfectly clean the bathroom was fit for a queen. You definitely felt like you were in a castle. You could even call yourself royalty. This was my daughter‘s idea to stay here and it was the best idea she ever had. Our bartender Jonathan was amazing as was the entire staff. I Would recommend to anyone. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.
