Outdated and dilapidated accommodation

When I checked in there were no information provided about where breakfast was or what time it was. The hotel is out dated and in a poor condition. The rooms are disgustingly unclean with paint flaking off the walls, years of dust around the furniture. The mattress on the bed had clearly been used for a thousand years as it was so soft on one side that you’d spend the night on the tilt. No hot water in the morning for a shower at 0630hrs. I would not ratted this hotel if I was paid to do so

Near to Bute Park and shops so location is excellent. But the outside of Hotel is run down needs painting. Furniture a little outdated in bedrooms. And I heard bedroom doors banging during my stay.

Location is great. Breakfast is very standard, but the quality of the products was not great and lacked variety. The step-free gate entrance was difficult to access, and we were unable to use it. Noise isolation is bad; you can hear other guests from the corridor at late hours, not ideal for our baby. I would not stay here again.

The Angel Hotel in Cardiff is a wonderful place to stay. Its central location, right by Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, makes it perfect for exploring the city. The historic building has real charm, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and overall the hotel offers great value. I’d happily stay again.

Family trip

We stayed for 2 nights at the angel hotel to see will Smith in concert at Cardiff castle. The hotel is in a great location, very central for everything and right opposite the castle. And only a 10 minute walk from Cardiff central station. The hotel is lovely, with a very grand entrance and lobby area with the iconic double staircase. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Our family room was huge! 2 separate bedrooms which was perfect. And a huge super kind comfy bed. We had breakfast both mornings at the hotel. It was really good value for money. Plenty of choice and great service in the restaurant. Overall excellent stay, we would definitely visit the hotel again 10/10
