We have stayed at other Victorian B and B’s so we pretty much know what to expect. It was a little musty but not terrible. I did not realize until later that I had picked a room that had to accessed from a steep narrow staircase, so perhaps that should be more clearly stated. Our smoke alarm battery went dead and started beeping so we had to climb on the bed to dismantle it. We returned it and the staff was very apologetic, however they never replaced it. We just let it go.
On the positive side, the staff was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and there was plenty of ice and glassware available. The bathroom was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. We liked having a ceiling fan as well. The front porch was a very nice place to relax and enjoy coffee or a glass of wine.
In relation to other B and B’s it was nicely priced
