Nice traditional bungalows with outdoor bathrooms. Rooms were very clean. Centrally located & about 1/2 mile from beach. Breakfast is included & very good. Staff was very helpful & positive. Occasionally you can hear some street noise & outside bathroom can be inconvenient when it’s raining. Plenty of shops, restaurants etc. close by.

Our stay at The Calmtree Bungalows was absolutely terrible. The place was dirty, full of bugs and geckos—some even making noises at night. There was no hot water for showers, and the food was unsanitary. To make matters worse, we didn’t get our money back, so we had to book another place immediately. I strongly advise against staying here—it’s not safe, clean, or comfortable in any way.

Hidden gem that made our Changgu stay!

Absolutely charming place! Hidden little gem with a nice pool and the friendliest of people. We loved it! The host knew our names by the 1st day and always asked us if we needed anything. Even offered to make us an early breakfast when we had to leave early for diving one morning. Would 100% stay here again!

Cosy, rustic property with a small number of standalone bungalows and two villas with their own pools. Comfortable space, tucked away and peaceful. Yet so close to the action in the Batu Bolong area of Canggu. Staff are warm and helpful. Had an amazing stay and can't wait to go back.

Great location, clean and friendly.

Friendly staff, great location and our villa felt safe and was comfortable and clean. Loved that you could walk anywhere in Changu from here. Yes there were a couple of nights that were noisy (we spent a week there) but it was not unbearable and the “music” did stop around midnight. Would happily stay there next time.

The staff are the best, nothing is too much trouble and always a smiling face. We stayed in the villa with private pool and it was amazing. Clean, comfortable, beautiful bathroom. In the centre of Canguu, but down a quiet alley way, would highly recommend. Great breakfast too

This is a little oasis away from the hustle and scooter-infested streets of Canggu. Easily walkable to the beach, restaurants, shops, etc, and right next to a laundry, motorbike hire place, etc. But the place itself is calm and chilled, with a lovely pool (albeit small - only two people can really swim simultaneously) and shaded, pillowed verandas to shelter from the sun. Staff are friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is good. The only real downside is that these traditional Balinese bungalows have zero noise insulation. At night, the nearby Deus ex Machina blasts out obnoxiously loud music until midnight, and you hear every frog, bird and raindrop. Definitely a problem for a light sleeper like me.

Had 5 nights in between villa bookings I originally booked a room with privat pool but changed to bungalow by shared pool Price was great and bungalows all traditional style Great air conditioning comfortable beds and food super cheap and delicious Beer in mind you are so close to bars and restaurants so a bit noisy up till midnight Great location
