Great place to stay for couple of days. Rooms are large enough, everything works well. Its not extraordinary, however its practical. The hotel is in the quiet part of Zona Hotelara and everything is a little far from this hotel. The breakfast is ok, the food at the bar on the roof that opens in the evening is ok and priced reasonably. Staff are great as well.

The room was spacious, staff was friendly. The rooftop bar/restaurant was disappointing. I ordered a burger that said it was Angus beef. The meet was gray, not the color of beef. We also ordered Pina coladas from the alcohol drink menu and there was no alcohol in those drinks. Then we asked to charge to our room, but they said we couldn't, then we were going to pay with a card and they said we had to pay in cash. They should have told us up front and it seemed very scammy. We did not eat there again. There is nothing close by unfortunately, so we basically ate one meal a day when we were out.

The hotel is kept very clean and if you like away from the busy district this is awesome. The we are not beach people but love looking at the sea and the water view was amazing. Breakfast is great and the coffee machine is very good. They have a limited menu in the roof top restaurant would be a nice feature to add a pizza oven but uber is very reasonably priced so a great option. We were there for three weeks and loved it.

As a first time traveler to Cancun I highly recommend staying here! At first we had booked a stay at a different hotel right in the zone on the ocean which lasted one day where we quickly moved to the Marriott hoping it would be better. Well it far exceeded are expectations and made our stay 10x better IMMEDIATELY. The staff are all friendly, there’s a great breakfast with different options each day, the roof top pool/hangout area is beautiful. The room was so comfortable and spacious with a balcony to sit out on. The water pressure was great and there was amenities in our room! You may be thinking, isn’t that all normal? No, our first hotel did not have even half of these things and was not even willing or trying to be accommodating. The Marriott also has transportation to and from the airport, just make sure you reserve it all before you fly out! They also have shuttles to bring you out to popular destinations and then you just have to uber back to the hotel when you’re ready! Again, our first place had no shuttle options at all or airport transportation. Review each place your considering carefully when staying in Cancun, and I can assure you the Marriott was more than what we could’ve asked for at such a great price.

I had an amazing experience during my stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Cancun Hotel Zone. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of. The property is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that feel more like a comfortable apartment than a hotel. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day, and the hotel’s amenities—especially the pool and gym—were top-notch. I also appreciated how quiet and relaxing the area was, while still being just a short drive from Cancun’s best beaches and attractions. Overall, the service, comfort, and value exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun.
