I was really looking forward to enjoying my stay here, but unfortunately I got diarrhea from the food served at the hotel and was sick for a few days( about 3 days). Because of this, I couldn't enjoy the amenities, the buffet experience, and enjoy the pool. I also missed the excursions I was really looking forward to, like visiting the Chichen Itza and Valladolid, as well as exploring downtown.
The staff did bring room service while I was sick, but that small effort doesn't change the fact that the food made me ill and missed the excursions. The hotel refused to take responsibility, which made the experience even worse.
Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. Food safety should be taken more seriously, because no guest should lose days of their vacation to sickness.
