AVA Resort Cancún exceeded every expectation. The food alone deserves a Michelin star — from bone marrow at The Butcher to incredible poolside ceviche, empanadas, wings, and burgers on brioche buns. The service is truly next level. Maria and Carlos at the pool made our trip unforgettable with the fastest, friendliest service we’ve ever had at any resort (and we’ve been to 20+). Our boys (11 and 9) loved the bowling alley and arcade — super affordable and so much fun. Rooms are modern, spotless, and every single one has an ocean view. There are always loungers and cabanas available, no matter the time of day, which is a huge win. We were so impressed that multiple family members and friends have already booked trips after hearing about our experience. AVA isn’t just a resort — it’s a full experience we can’t wait to come back to.

House keeping didn’t drop off the slippers we asked for two times. The five star hotel has very nice decors and design, but the construction quality is pretty mid. You can see watermarks and rusts on the walls of the interior, low quality renovation. Food at the buffet is mid. Restaurants are pretty good (included in your all inclusive but you have to pre book it before 5pm and no one told us during or before checking in) so we actually missed a night’s opportunity. Pools are really for kids. Not great for adult swimming. The pool bottom is like rough surface that could scrape your knees. Overall idk what we really enjoyed in this resort as three adults. Maybe the bar if you like drinking at night.

The room was Amazing! Very modern, clean and beautiful! All Staff was very attentive and helpful Dinner Restaurants food was Delicious! Cafe Shops are a big Plus. Breakfast food was basic, it was ok. They could have better options. Pool water was too cold. Not enough outdoor activities. Beach volleyball was scheduled at 4pm and did not start until 4:30pm.They should have beach volleyball everyday.

It’s a beautiful resort however I didn’t like the service overall. We stayed at the north side and the room was beautiful, modern and clean with a gorgeous view. The app made it easy to get room cleaned sometimes they even come twice however one or my expensive body lotion was stolen but not my obvious luxury brand handbag and shoes. The service in the north and south buffet was great. Here’s where things get wrong… Food wasn’t that great at the resort… specifically the steak house. So disappointing. There’s no entertainment in the evening or day. The pool side is so quiet, no music or entertainment. Staff was not friendly and fun as in most resorts.

This resort was amazing and the staff was also amazing! This has truly been a very relaxing vacation I will definitely be back. Because we were expedia guest, we also met an expedia concierge, Rodrigo, who assisted us and checked up on us constantly. I also want to take this time to mention our amazing hotel concierge, JACK, who took care of me and my wife during our stay. He coordinated most of our activities and Maria assisted us with dinner reservations prior to our arrival. It was truly a great stay.

The resort is beautiful one of the most aesthetically pleasing that I’ve stayed at. However, the food at the restaurants came out cold and was very bland and mid. Same thing with the food at the buffet, room service and pool side service. Overall, the food at the resort was underwhelming, a lot of fancy options that didn’t hit home. There also needs to be louder music at the adult only pool to create a better vibe with a more curated playlist to cater to the adult crowd. There also should be music playing at the bars on the inside of the resort also. Lastly, there needs to be more interactive activities at night catered to adults that last longer than 30 minutes.
