Very noisy

The hotel in general was excellent. That said, we had difficulty sleeping given the noise level. The room across and above our room had very loud and noisy guests which kept us from sleeping. It appears that sound proofing the rooms was not a priority when constructed? This was very disappointing.

Check in was slow and confusing, outdoor hot tub needs some sort of cover over it. We made a reservation months ago for a large group at the Carve restaurant , and upon arrival we had one waiter for 30 people, the food came out a different time, some people were done their appies and main course before others got their appies, not acceptable for a restaurant of this calibre. The chef would not allow us to bring a cake for my wife’s 60th so we had the cake in the lobby and it was a fight to get plates and cutlery from the chef to have cake in the lobby. Given the fact we attracted people to the hotel for the eeekend and occupying 10 rooms I thought it was pretty lame

Firstly, the staff are all great. Almost everyone I passed by, smiled at greeted me. Check in and out was quick and painless. Rocco was very friendly. Helping us with our bags, when showing us to our room. We had to shorten our stay, and even though we booked through Expedia, they didn't charge us any fees for the change of dates. The rooms are huge. We had a king bed, and small dinner table with two chairs, and a corner love seat. And the space still seemed roomy. We booked the cheapest room, so no balcony and it was facing the carpark (partial water view in the distance). The inside pool area is decent. There's a lap pool, sauna, and a steam room (both rooms fit 4-6 people). The outdoor hot pool area is great, with a few corn hole games and giant cheese board. There's a large outdoor kitchen area, that we didn't use. But it would be a great way to eat in the summer. The gardens are all beautiful. There's about half a dozen private patio areas, with propane fire pits to hang out anytime. I don't play golf, but the course looks beautiful maintained from what I could see. Velocity (virtual driving range) is a lot of fun. The food is excellent (especially if you can take advantage of the weeknight happy hour. There's also a standard driving range. Patio area for eating, and indoor tables too. The entire resort is beautiful, and clean. Highly recommend. Especially off peak rates <$200 nightly, is really great value.
