"The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is well maintained and we had no issues with anything in the house. The view is sensational. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises. We fished from the pier that is shared with another house and caught some black drum and, of course, hard head catfish. We threw everything back, but there is a nice cleaning station on the end of the pier.There are few places to eat in Hackberry, but we found that there is a grill that's open from 10:30 AM to 8:15 PM most days in the Hackberry Recreation Center located beyond the High School on West Main Street. It's not advertised on the highway or even at the location, but it had very good short-order food. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hopefully can arrange to stay again in the future."
