I enjoyed hearing and seeing a variety of birds--including redwinged blackbirds, hummingbirds doing loop-up-and-dive maneuvers, an eagle, a low-tide heron, a maybe-an-NWP goldfinch, a Stellar's...some within 6 feet of where I stood at the railing. Wave patterns were beautiful, as was the opposite shoreline. Two days of mist and rain were great for my writing.
A southwest theme of cactus, cowboy boots, turquoise dinnerware surprised me.
The sink faucet is high for safe dishwashing: I kept a paper towel at the side for the splatters. The red square on the entry device is faint: blocking sun let me see it.
The owner put some thought into Cozy Cove, providing a hook for a towel to wipe rain from the balcony chairs. I thoroughly enjoyed this as a writer's retreat. I stuffed the butterfly chair with the two pillows for a comfortable position. That also made it easier to get up out of it. A plaque says, "Collect experiences, not things," and I certainly enjoyed collecting this one!
