Great stay in Calgary

Extremely friendly staff. The hotel was under construction, but other than the elevators being protected I did not notice it. There wasn't any noise or construction traffic that interfered with my stay. The room was a mini suite with plenty of room. I would highly recommend staying here.

Know what you're getting into

This hotel is going through an identity crisis. I only stayed here because the group that hosted me asked me to. It has been undergoing "renovations" for multiple years. This means that the elevators start going at 5 a.m. in the morning for the construction crews, and the construction crews take at least one of only three elevators during the day. I was in one of the "renovated" rooms and the workmanship is pretty poor - the devil is in the details and the quality isn't there. Then, apparently they are converting several floors to permanent residences, which means the services are all geared for such and that's what the employees are also focused on. The employees are all nice, but as somebody in the hotel section, you are only temporary and not high on the list of priorities. Finally, just FYI, even though the listing on Hotels.com says breakfast included - NOPE, in fact there isn't even a restaurant anymore. Additionally, the advertisements say the hotel is connected to the +15 walkways - NOPE, they're not due to construction. My recommendation - wait to stay here until things get sorted out!!

I understand the fact that this property was undergoing renovations & I empathize with the hotel staff for that. Currently, this hotel lacks a Gym, Pool, Physical fitness center, the ovens/dishwashers in the rooms weren’t hooked up (or so I was informed). However, the staff at this hotel were not excited to welcome you & appreciate your stay. None of them seemed to care & their lack of manners showed. I had checked I my luggage to go around Calgary for the day, when I came back to pick it up, I politely asked the front desk attendants if I could use the restroom before departing to which I was given the reply “we don’t have a restroom, all of the staff just finds somewhere outside & goes to the bathroom.” I was dumbfounded, I can tell you the other customer at the counter was dumbfounded too. All 3 staff members behind the counter were giggling like girls at a slumber party. Never ever have a seen anyone at a hotel act like that towards their guests & I hope people find somewhere better to stay. I for sure will never go back to this classless property.

Property Under renovations while we were there. We weren’t aware of this. Elevator was very touchy and would go up and down several times to wrong floors before landing on your chosen floor. Multiple hairs found on the bathroom counter. Bed was very comfortable though!! Best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time.

Convenient and reasonably priced.

Arrived late at night, after a rainy day on a motorcycle. Checking was OK, but with couple of people at the reception desk could probably be a little faster (Though it was probably just me being very tired and soaked wet from all the rain). But service was able to get me the things I asked for at check in even before I was got to my room, which was very nice. Parking has enough space. Plenty of food options around. Hopefully the next time I'll stay there, they will be done with their renovation.
