Only a select few rooms have marina views. I paid for such a view but was given a room that overlooked the town. Then it rained and the bathroom ceiling leaked making it unusable. Room changed middle of the night and the new room had a clogged sink. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor, furniture and general look and feel is dated. For example in both rooms a couple of cabinet doors wanted to stay open and one of the drawers didn’t want to close.

In the past, with all inclusive, you'd have beer in the fridge and two, one liter bottles of water in the room restocked each day. Not any more. The two restaurants food is just so so and you can't leave tips on your signed bill. The hotel seems more run down and not well kept as in the past. I won't be staying there again.

CONS: The Room- I booked the Superior Suite, aka Master Suite. It was much smaller and different from pics on Tesoro's website and 360 degree images. After checking in I inquired with front desk and was told that the website pics are a SHOWROOM SUITE (not the same as what you actually get). I was then told I would need to speak to a manager to discuss discrepancy, but when he arrived for his shift he stayed in the back office and chose to communicate through front desk staff instead of speaking to me. There were dead roaches and droppings in kitchenette and floor was dusty with many long hairs. Something people should know is the room is on the top floor and there are 2 flights of steep stairs you need to climb to get to the room, I would not have booked if I knew that. I wanted to cancel my 9-night reservation, but I then learned Expedia bundle packages don't allow alterations. Buyer beware of Expedia package bundle restrictions. PROS:The breakfast buffet, view, pool/hot tub, and location were excellent. Room was also quiet and there was no construction unlike other properties that had major construction with jackhammering.

It is not a true all in inclusive. You can only order part of the menu. If you were hu gry later then 830. Good luck with food. Restuarant staff were great. Especialy the omelette lady The staff at the pool where extremely lazy. Rarely did the come by.

My husband and I love staying at the Tesoro every time we come to Cabo! Staff is so courteous and amazing and they keep the rooms and hotel areas clean all the time. We don't go anywhere else. The marina, shops, restaurants, excursions are right there. No need for a taxi.
