The Eagle's Nest w/Paddle Boards and Kayaks

Charming cabin located 300 yards from beautiful Watauga Lake, TN near the NC Line on the Elk River. Has a boat ramp and floating dock. Built in 2016 with a hot tub, wraparound porch with a swing, and rocking chairs. Unique features and fun things to do. the Second Bedroom is actually a loft with a queen sofabed. Fire Pit with wood included, Kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes free to use along with jet ski and pontoon boat rental. Fishing guide service can be provided. The property is remote and there are chickens in a coop providing fresh eggs for the guest. The host can stay on property and can arrange breakfast to be provided or you can have the place to yourself and take advantage of the professional waffle makers and fresh eggs. We ask for at least 2 night stays for weekend bookings. One night on the weekdays are ok.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Such a great cabin and a gorgeous location! We had such a relaxing stay with our pups. The kitchen and cabin are well stocked for all of your cooking needs. The fresh eggs and waffle maker were a nice added bonus. The cabin was very cozy as the weather cooled off around us. 10/10 hope to go again!

This place was breathtakingly beautiful!!!! Pictures doesn’t do it justice, the manager was very helpful in letting me know all info before checking in, the cabin is stocked with everything you need for cooking, sleeping, extra curricular activities etc. if I could have stayed for weeks I would have.

This cabin has it all! Fully stocked kitchen with everything you can imagine for cooking! Gas grill and smoker on the deck! This cabin has the most comfortable couches and love seats right in front of the fireplace! There is also a pool table and pinball machine upstairs and tons of board games. If you are looking for a quiet cabin with views that has just about everything you need this is it!!

Family had a great time! My wife enjoyed fresh eggs every morning from the chicken coop. This is what I consider a real cabin! not those resort style wannabes. The lake is a quick walk down the road. The neighbors or lack thereof is quiet. Honestly you will most likely feel like the loudest people there. The kiddo enjoyed walking around the local area taking photos of the scenery. It snowed our last day there and was a beautiful departure for our trip.

What a wonderful cabin to relax and play in! When we walked in my son said “wow we are really staying in a cabin!” The beds were comfortable and cozy. The bunkbed was fun, it doesn’t have a bar on the top so my son was a little nervous. We used the pull out couch and it was good too. The kitchen was fully stocked, except for a colander and a peeler. It was nice and quiet and relaxing. The hot tub is fun too!Thank you so much for the time here! It was wonderful!

My husband and I took our 2 kids and dogs to this cabin and it did not disappoint! We were snowed in and couldn’t access our vehicle. So if you’re going up during the winter months, definitely have an all terrain car! But the owners son came to our rescue everyday and brought us groceries and helped us carry all our luggage in his truck! Such a blessing! Even though we didn’t get to explore the area, there was plenty of things to do at the cabin! Kids sled down the hills, we walked all over the property and down to the lake and played countless games inside. Lots of memories were made and would definitely come back. Great trip!

Our trip here was absolutely amazing, there is a cute kitty that gaurded our cabin. Lol our host said she protects it from the bears but they also have bear mase and a bear box for trash just in case. It had everything you could possibly need other than your food, i do recommed stopping at a grocery store as everything is pretty far away. Our dog loved it here too she loved all the smells and trails. Our hosts was very helpful with tips about the bear box and how to heat the hot tub along with other things.we will absolutely be coming back here!

BUGS!

I completely understand being in a cabin in the woods, you'll share some of you space with critters and cralwies, but this was extreme. There were literally THOUSANDS of lady bugs and stink bugs infesting the entire house. They could be seeing coming in from every seam of the house. The cabin itself was nice but I specifically booked one that had a hot tub and fire place. We couldnt grt the hot tub to work and even if we did the water was green-ish and slimy looking with a bad oder so we wouldn't have got in it anyway. The propane was out so we couldnt get the fire pit on the deck or the gas logs to work. The matresses for the roll out beds were very used and stained. The cabin was fine but I booked for the amenities and none of them worked so very disappointed.
