The owners are very friendly; the house is outfitted well for guests to feel at home and interact with one another, so it can be a great place to meet new people. My room was clean, efficient and comfortable. I was glad to hear that breakfast included eggs and bread as well as fruit and a cereal option instead of the carb and sugar-heavy options that are often offered for a free breakfast. I'm from a rural area and was on my own, so I didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood, but was glad the side street the guesthouse is on was quiet, so I wasn't kept awake with city noises.

The property is nice, but if you are mobility impaired, it wouldn't work. The entrance has steep steps and there is no elevator on the premises. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. The biggest downfall was the breakfast. It consisted of cold scrambled eggs and sausage. Luckily, there is a microwave available. The fruit was not fresh and the coffee was not hot. However, atmosphere was pleasant. Only on street parking available.

We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities and interior. Home is dated but sufficient for your needs. Staff were great. Access into the guesthouse makes you feel safe. Would stay again.

My room was very nice and well cared for. I felt so at home that I actually got a full night of sleep - which is rare for me in an unfamiliar environment. Maria was lovely, as well. It was a joy to be checked in by her and she explained the details and layout of the showers and facilities expertly. Most importantly, perhaps, the location was perfect for me. Being right off Allen street, I got to explore Allentown in depth - one of the major reasons for my trip. I was also able to walk to the Buffalo Convention Center on Sunday morning. The accessibility to downtown was a surprise and is sure to make me a repeat customer. The only downside was I was really looking forward to having some scrambled eggs in the morning at the buffet - but there was ham in them. Obviously, I am not a vegan - but I am a vegetarian & I do love my eggs and veggie omelets. But that is a minor quibble. Overall, 10++!!! Brian

I booked a last minute stay at Buffalo Guess house, didn’t expect it to be soooo nice, a lovely historical place , that has ever thing you need and makes you feel you are that special guest treated like a VIP that spend the night at your friends cozy house. 3 min drive from Downtown Buffalo, countless restaurants to explore,, Harbor walk, Seneca Creek Casino 6 min drive.. great breakfast every morning with scrambled eggs that Really taste like eggs, fresh coffee, cinnamon rolls, toast, the cleanest sheets I have ever slept on,(and I travel quite often),Free parking right outside, and felt safe parking our rental at night. Safe and quiet neighborhood.The whole experience was amazing. The beds were soo comfortable I’d like to find out the mattresses the use.. It was my 1st experience in an BnB, and I ended up booking a second night.And would definitely book it again.Thank you Maria for excellent customer service.And thank you Wes for a warm welcoming. If you plan on booking this lovely place, keep in mind they have some rooms in first floor, and some in second floor (if any case of knee problems to be considered).

Very close to downtown. Nothing too fancy but very clean and unique! Easy check in and check out! You do need to climb stairs to get to the rooms. Hostess was very friendly and helpful!

A Comfy and Friendly Home Away From Home

Buffalo Guesthouse was a perfect place for me as a solo woman. I needed a 'home' away from home for a night and this was it, although on first glance i was a tiny bit doubtful. I had neglected to follow all the directions so I didn't realize that my entry code was in my texts which I hadn't checked so be sure to check for that before you arrive. The hotel itself isn't fancy, but the care to the details of hospitality is first class. The staff is gracious and caring. I will definitely return when I need a 'home' for a night or two in Buffalo.

We were taken by surprise that there were only shared showers with a tiny sink and toilet in the room, and would not have booked had we known that. There is also only street parking. That being said, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the communal dining setup allowed us to meet some interesting people.
