Subject: Request for Refund of Unused Nights – [Reservation Number] Dear Expedia Support / Days Inn Management, I am writing regarding my reservation at Days Inn [city, state] made through Expedia (reservation number: [insert]). My check-in date was [insert], with check-out scheduled for [insert]. On [date], the hotel staff informed me of alleged damage in the room’s toilet tank. I had not damaged the property, and when the police were called, they confirmed I was not required to pay the $500 demanded by the hotel. Despite this, the hotel required me to check out immediately and refused to reimburse me for the remaining [X] nights of my prepaid stay. Since I was forced to leave the hotel and the service I paid for was not provided, I am formally requesting a refund of the unused nights, totaling [amount in USD]. Please confirm within 10 business days how this refund will be processed. Cockroaches in the bathroom.

I have no idea how this place has such high reviews. This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, if it was an option, I would have left and found another hotel to stay in. I am disabled so I selected the accessible bathroom, it looked more like a cell than anything. Tiles were falling off, black mold in corners of the room, and my first night there was a COCKROACH next to the toilet. Not only that but the room just sucked in general, there were no amenities, the bed was uncomfortable and the bedding awful, I had to buy a blanket from home goods. I tried the pool, it was disgustingly dirty and your feet got muddy if there were wet. The walls are so thin and the curtains had moth holes, that it let in all light and sound. It's a motel 6, sure you can't expect the best, but it can have the dignity to at least be clean. Avoid this one, it's worth it to spend an extra 20 bucks at a regular hotel. The only good thing to say was that there was one very nice staff member, but overall, the rest of the staff was prickly and unwelcoming. I am never staying here again.
