The staff was excellent—everyone I interacted with was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the property itself has some major drawbacks. The rooms are outdated and not well-maintained, and the noise level is rough. The building backs up to a channel and freeway, so you hear traffic all night through the windows and doors. On top of that, the pool and jacuzzi are out of order indefinitely.
The hotel is four stories, but only one elevator is working. It’s slow, feels neglected, and even has visible floor damage. The location is convenient, but it’s right in the middle of a busy shopping plaza with two restaurants that blast music and host loud parties until nearly 2 a.m. on weekends.
The price was reasonable, but the lack of soundproofing makes it hard to rest. There are also a lot of transients living behind the building and hanging around the parking lot, which adds to the uneasy feeling.
