Firefly is a luxury safari tent at Elk Hollow, tucked just outside the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Surrounded by nature on all sides, this elevated, treehouse-like retreat is designed for both relaxation and connection—romantic, peaceful, and intentionally set apart from the everyday. Here, glowing fireflies dance through summer evenings and every moment feels a little more magical.
Inside, the tent feels open, airy, and inviting, with fresh, natural décor, a signature yellow door, and playful firefly details woven throughout. The central living area offers a cozy place to unwind, whether you’re streaming your favorite show on the flatscreen TV or sipping coffee while looking out through the glass French doors into the forest.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, oven, and everything needed for easy meals—enjoy dinner at the table for two or take it outside to the deck.
The king bedroom features a rustic barnwood bed and wraparound screened windows, allowing soft mountain sounds to drift in as you fall asleep. The spa-like bathroom includes a soaking tub, walk-in rain shower, and vanity, with a privacy curtain for comfort.
Step outside to an expansive wraparound deck designed to fully immerse you in the setting. String lights glow overhead, the firepit crackles nearby, and your private hot tub invites you to relax beneath the stars. A covered seating area offers a cozy escape even on rainy days. In the summer months, fireflies often drift through the trees—adding a quiet, unforgettable kind of magic to your evenings.
Perched in an elevated treetop setting, Firefly feels both secluded and peaceful. Below, a trail winds along the creek with swings, bridges, and an arbor—perfect for exploring at your own pace.
Located just minutes from Bryson City and Deep Creek, you’re close to waterfalls, hiking, tubing, and endless outdoor adventure—yet you’ll feel a world away.
Firefly welcomes couples and can accommodate infants under 24 months. Please note, the space is not childproofed and a crib is not provided, so you’ll need to bring your own if traveling with a little one.
