Gorgeous ocean setting for a mid range price hotel

I had not realized I had booked an “obstructed” beach view and was disappointed to realized that I was looking at the back of the restaurant. The staff quickly moved me to another room with an amazing view! The hotel is a bit old and showing its wear, but the location is magical. Windswept ocean, moonlit night and not the usual over developed shoreline of beaches in Florida where I am from. There was hardly anyone staying at the hotel and the quiet was very nice. Good coffee spot over the lobby and decent but over priced breakfast buffet. I wish the windows could be opened or the door propped to let in the beach breeze, but the construction must be made for storms the coast must get from time to time.

Outside property was excellent. Bed extremely MUSHY, red flashing light, staff said I could put some tape over it. Switched rooms to a "better" room. No flashing light but bed still mushy, fan noisy. Free Wi-Fi didn't work until my last day. Staff was unable to fix it until the last day. Very disappointed for the money charged, although they did take refund me a very small amount.

Loved the location, surroundings, peacefulness. Everything was so well presented. Only bad experience was the on site restaurant. Terrible food, no choices, service was okay(barely). Price was outrageous for 1. What comes free at most hotels was a heck of a lot tastier. Bring down the overall experience for food but not hotel.

This the best resort on Jekyll Island ! Great people work here and make sure that you are have a good time. Nathan at the front desk is just fantastic. A beautiful place inside and out with views of the ocean. Food, music, yoga, and coffee better than st.......! Thank you for a fun and relaxing stay.

This place was amazing. Our “standard” room was anything but. It was huge. Tons of space. Beds and pillows were comfy. The pool was clean and comfortable. The whole property was amazing.
