The facility was centrally located with easy walks to the sites and restaurants. Shopping was likewise close and offered fresh baked goods to a useful supermarket. If clothes shopping is your thing there was an overwhelming amount of choices.

The loft space at Hotel Marcel was perfect for a weekend visit to Bruges. It offered 2 bedrooms, ample space, a little kitchenette, and was very clean. The location was perfect—close to the centre but also quiet at night.

Check-in was horrible. It took 3 hours to straighten out the confusion amongst 5 rooms. No staff present, until we insisted on getting a real person who could come and help.Air conditioning didn't work. Phone communication with staff was extremely poor. There are no resources available, for example, to get a cab. We went to another hotel to ask them to call a cab. The rooms were pleasant and clean, but I'm certain we will never return. Email communication prior to arrival was the worst. I wrote 4 times over a period of 6 weeks regarding a schedule change and there was NO response. Very frustrating.
