Chatty polite reception staff who upgraded my room ! Plentiful fresh breakfast with decent coffee ( a rare find !) Stayed in a few places in Bournemouth but 3rd visit here so far , I like the quirky decor and relaxed atmosphere and the couches and chairs you can sink into in the bar area Once the refurbishment is complete i will be returning

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Cumberland. We were in Bournemouth for a concert and this hotel was ideal as it was close to the venue and had a good location overlooking the bay. Our room was comfortable and good value but what really stood out was how good the staff were. Lisa made us feel welcome and gave us some great advice on the facilities and the waiters and managers were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very nice and we enjoyed the outside and inside pools, as well as the sauna during our short stay.
