Excellent value

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. We've always had a modern, clean and comfortable room (Lawrence of Arabia this time)and have had no issues. We didn't have breakfast this time but we have previously and it was very good.

Hotel Celebrity experience

I had to pay an additional £10 upon arrival to park the car in the hotel car park which was not expected. The lady on reception said it was because it was a third-party car park and we should have booked direct with them to not have had to pay to use the car park. The sign in the room said the cost was £4 (See photo). Please can you mention this on your website for this hotel so it is not a shock for guests when they arrive. Breakfast was too expensive at £12 so we did not have this. Shower unit was so loud it sounded like an industrial hoover and I took a very quick shower as it worried me. Beds were super comfortable and the room was comfortably warm, clean and tidy. Tea/Coffee - there was one sealed tea-bag and 2 loose tea bags which I would not use as you don't know how long they had been there. Other guests had a domestic late at night including banging doors which woke us and other guests up. I know the hotel cannot control that.

I can say 100%

Our room was very good the problem was that we could not use the shower as the bath was to high, as we are both elderly and I am disabled, the breakfast was ok, but the cereal was very poor but 100% to the staff.

A fun, unique hotel.

Brief overnight stay. Great Esdt Cliff location. Room a little frayed at the edges but very clean. Unrestricted street parking 5pm to 9am.

One lady in reception was helpful and did her best to try to resolve my problem. I feel sorry for her that she is working for management that are clearly struggling to maintain the most basic of standards. The place is scruffy, not particularly clean and needs major investment and renovation. Until that happens, avoid like the plague.

It served a purpose and the bed was comfy.

We booked here because it was so close the uni accommodation that we were dropping our son off at, so location is great for being about 15 min from town and 5 mins from the uni accommodations. The hotel is dated. Every room is celebrity themed. We stayed in the Angelina Jolie room and whilst the bed was comfy, the pillows were hard and as soon as you walk in you get a damp, cabbage type smell from the bathroom. The bathroom has had some refurb, very DIY, to the point of the cut down tile spacers are still in the grout. The room was incredibly hot, despite it being a cool evening. We had all windows open and the fan on - would not want to stay here in the height of summer. The fan blew dust all over the bed and floor. The dust in the radiator (old style so can be seen, didnt need to go looking) was thick ! Looked in the bar for a drink the night we stayed and decided against it as it didnt look appealing. Didn't eat here so cant comment on food.

Oh dear

This is a very tired hotel in dire need of some tlc. The celebrity reference is tacky to say the least. Over a 3 night stay we saw a grand total of 3 members of staff. The 'welcoming' bar was nothing more than a community centre hall with no one to serve you. Don't bother with the buffet breakfast. It consisted of 3 choices of cereal, the cheapest bread money can buy for toast and the cooked items were cold. It would maybe be an idea to actually turn the hot plate on. If you want eggs it's fried or nothing. As usual, no staff were available to inform when things needed topping up and the dining room was dark and dingy. Overall we got what we paid for. If you want a cheap break by all means give it a try but don't expect much. It was however pretty clean with housekeeping every other day which many hotels don't offer at all anymore

Location to the beach was excellent. Staff were slow and uninterested. Breakfast buffet ran out and took ages to refill. Room was not clean - carpet had fluff and dirt. Walls were marked and shabby.
