This hotel is unique, an interesting find in Boston. We stayed there to attend a track meet at Boston University and the drive was fairly easy. It is not close to downtown so be ready for a 25 minute Uber to any place like the seaport or the North End. The breakfast was the average continental. We were disappointed with the Craft Food Hall. It has expensive food for take-out quality, and the bar closes at 9pm on Friday night, 10pm Saturday night, and there is no place close to walk for food or bar except McDonald’s and Star Market. Very easy access to the River, great for walking or running.

Only needed to stay one night for a show at the Roadrunner. Felt run down and grimy. BEWARE of the HIDDEN FEES: Facility Fee ($40.77/night), Parking Fee ($15/night), Pet Fee ($115). Supposedly "dog friendly" but a $115 pet fee is INSANE. I've stayed at extremely nicer hotels in downtown Boston and even NYC, that charge $50 at most for a pet fee. I could have stayed at a 100% nicer hotel and it would have cost less than Studio Allston with the outrageous pet fee. The "complimentary breakfast" is disgusting watery powdered eggs and soggy tater tots. For $115, my dog should have been able to get a breakfast plate considering it's bordeline dog food. Do yourself a favor and stay at the brand-new Hampton Inn & Suites across the river at Arsenal Yards: it's only 7 minutes from Studio Allston, cost the same or less, and it's a much nicer experience and neighborhood.

This is a 50% Motel 50% Hotel This is a very old hotel that had some lipstick slapped on it to try and save it. First, the staff is wonderful. Very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is not great. It’s very old from the hallways, parking structure, elevator, carpets, and even the hotel can. Everything is old. It’s a very no thrills hotel. No coffee or water in room. Barely any amenities and overall just not great. They tried to save it by making it funky with a pool table in lobby, downtown type art, etc but just seems run down. More of a lower east side NY hostel. I wouldn’t stay again but it’s not the worst. Just pricey for what it is.

Loads of "resort fees" to cover wi-fi, breakfast and parking. Of course, buried at the bottom. Watch for the fine print! Could easily cost $60/night more than expected. Breakfast is poor, wi-fi was spotty. The vibe of the hotel is unique and the staff is kind. But we'll NEVER stay at this hotel again, or its sister hotels. Definitely do NOT recommend.

I love the aesthetic of the property very cute and different with the abstract art and colors. It was designed different from most regular hotels , with a lounge area and restaurant. The staff was amazing very nice, breakfast was good and had lots of options from muffins and pastry dishes to cereal and hot foods , which I enjoyed.

The selection was quite limited. The eggs and other hot foods looked and tasted, to be microwaved foods. I ended up throwing the eggs in the garbage, as they had a funky taste to them. The mattresses on both beds were a bit worn out and uncomfortable.
