First Impressions Matter

I booked and prepaid for 2 suites-one for myself and one for my son. When I arrived I offered to check in and put my credit card on hold for both rooms at that time. I was told that was not possible because the other party-my son-was not there. At 9:30pm I was rudely awakened by a phone call from the front desk and was informed that unless I physically came to the lobby with my credit card the room would be released at midnight and the booking cancelled. I explained that my son's flight was delayed and I did not know if he would arrive by midnight. I suggested they use the credit card they had that I gave them on my arrival. This was not acceptable to them citing fraud as the reason. After speaking with the supervisor on duty he agreed to hold the room until 3am. Luckily my son arrived by 1am but this interaction with an unprofessional and inconsiderate front desk staff will be an unfortunate memory of Hilton Hotels. Maybe the fact that I booked this through a third party site had something to do with the service I received

We enjoyed our stay at homewood suites. Comfortable rooms and a big, open lounge area. B’fast was hot and fresh and easy access to the hotel. The only downside is that there’s no free parking unless you choose a lot a few mins walk away. Valet only at the hotel.
