Housekeeping was exceptional! When we came back to our room after sight seeing, our room was clean and fresh. You have NO idea how many hotels don’t do that unless you pay extra. Also, the breakfasts were excellent and the young man hosting, Michael, was very polite and kind. The front desk staff were also very accommodating and pleasant. We had a great stay!

rooms dated but bathroom seemed clean. second bolt lock wasn't working location was amazing - staying 1 block from the orange line then 2 blocks from the commons where you could pick up the green line was 100% worth the outdated issues. employees were nice and helpful

The room was fine. However, we arrived at 3pm (the indicated check in time) and were told the room was not ready. When asked how long it would be, we were told 20 minutes. After waiting about 30 minutes, we asked if the room was ready and were told it would be another 20 minutes. We decided to go get something to eat so my daughter left her phone number and asked to be called when the room was ready. After being gone about 45 minutes we returned to the hotel and yes, the room was ready but we never received the requested call letting us know.

The rooms(s) were dreary, paint chipping from behind the bathroom mirrors, mattresses are old, uncomfortable,.. sheets are thread-bare. The fridge looked like it had been in (at Least) 3 college dorm rooms in a past life. Needed to stack 4 pillows to get the support of 1. Carpets dirty. One microwave per floor ????? and tiny at that? This is absolutely NOT to Marriott standard. I know we got a great rate, but the rooms we had were TERRIBLE! The property is poorly maintained and has NOT been updated in YEARS. The bar, coffee, and breakfast service were far less than what I would expect from a basic "motel" The onsite restaurant was a JOKE! The door staff were rude and unhelpful. Didn't even offer to help load our luggage onto the bell cart. But absolutely was sure to tell me I was blocking a "bike" lane. Valet parking at $75 a night ON THE STREET in front of the hotel is unsafe, and not worth the $$. Thank goodness for the garage across the street. Our experience wasn't just "not ideal",...it was SO TERRIBLE I may never stay at another Marriott property again.... and I am a Silver Elite Bonvoy member. I am very disappointed and will be reaching directly to Marriott as well.
