Quiet setting nestled back away from the road, with a super friendly and helpful staff, clean room and a delicious hot breakfast with a beautiful sunrise view from either the dining room or on the balcony. We had a great little vacation and plan to return in the Fall!

It was beautiful land and quiet. Staff very pleasant. Room was ok but only one bottle of water. No times available at spa, food was ok but very over priced, need more options for food, especially breakfast. No pool, no jacuzzi… WiFi was inconsistent.

Everything was perfect. Your front desk staff who then turns into your restaurant staff who then turns into your housekeeping is definitely a keeper, she was doing the job of easily four people and did it effortlessly.

We might have just come during a time when they were understaffed, but the day we checked out it was impossible to find a single employee to help us. We didn't need the breakfast but wanted a cup of coffee before we headed out and had some other questions and we went to the front desk multiple times, even walked into the dining room, and never saw an employee. There was a sign on the table where they clearly usually have coffee but it was never actually there. Overall it was an easy place to stay and very quaint but had more of a summer camp feel vs a resort feel. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were nice but we stayed in one of the downstairs room and it was very damp, there were cobwebs in the hallway, etc (mid-summer and rainy season so understandable but still wasn't great). The location is great for being super close to the outdoor stuff and the Parkway and also easy super easy and beautiful drive to Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Boone.

Amazing staff, great location, and a beautiful view of the mountains. I would definitely recommend staying here. I traveled alone for a short while, and this place was my favorite without a doubt. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and the bar was also really nice. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
