Owners/Hosts invite you to their Cozy Log GUEST CABIN, which has been newly re-decorated in the RALPH LAUREN EQUESTRIAN STYLE.
The GUEST CABIN is located on a 10 acre Horse Ranch, named ALMOST HEAVEN RANCH, which is on Almost Heaven Road, in Boone, North Carolina.
Enjoy the view, horses, wildlife, tranquility, and stars, that will take your breath away!!
Relax at this unique GUEST CABIN, which is a Studio, that is near, but separate from, the Main House. It has a large kitchen, full bath (with tub and shower), a King size bed (sleeps 2), a Queen size air mattress (sleeps 2), a full size stove and oven, a 3/4 refrigerator, toaster oven, and a 50 inch TV, with Roku. It is on one level, and Disability Parking is provided under the deck, which is directly in front of the GUEST CABIN.
The Property and old gray barns, are reminiscent of Watauga County's ByGone era. The stalls are not fancy, but they are functional. Many beautiful horses, including Arabians, Saddlebreds, Friesians, Wild Mustangs, and miniature Horses and Donkeys, have called Almost Heaven Ranch, "Home". If you wish to bring your horses between April 1, 2026 and November, 1, 2026, there may be dry-stalls available, so please check with your Hosts prior to booking.
Although only 10 minutes from the Town of Boone, the property faces north, with incredible long range Blue Ridge Mountain views. There are no lights or sounds from the Town, and you will feel as if you are a million miles away! It is a Stargazer's and nature lover's delight, teaming with wild life, including deer and wild turkey.
No hunting, trapping or loud noises are allowed, because of the wild life and because of the horses, which are privately owned. During the winter, the owners may decide to take the horses off of the mountain, depending on the weather, for their health, safety and protection.
Bring your dogs (no breed restrictions). Never cats.
Don't forget carrots for Blitzen, a miniature horse, who has big blue eyes and who smiles as he greets guests! Actually, you can almost hear him laugh as he runs down the long driveway, which is one of his favorite things to do! This winter, Blitzen, and his best friend, Donner, a miniature donkey (yes, Donner and Blitzen), are currently Snow Birds, and are in Florida. Once they are back, you are more than welcome to feed a couple of carrots to them. Only two each please, due to the sugar content in carrots.
