Not as luxury as you’d hope

This hotel is sadly vastly oversold. The staff were friendly but the room cleaning was very minimal, our bed made a loud noise every time you moved and the breakfast was very limited. We were unable to use the lounge on one of the days we were there and also one of the restaurants was closed. The ‘free drinks’ we got on arrival were two bottled iced teas and there were no robes or slippers. The location is great but otherwise I wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel was clean and well located in a pleasant district. However, there were several issues that made the stay disappointing and uncomfortable. • Security concerns: The main door lock to the room was broken and never repaired during my 6-night stay. On two occasions, individuals entered the room without notice, which made me feel unsafe. • Maintenance issues: The shower door did not close properly and needed repair. The in-room safe was broken and also never fixed. • Poor amenities: While a water/coffee kettle was provided, there were no coffee or tea supplies included. When I requested coffee, there was a surcharge for a low-quality pouch. If daily coffee or tea is not provided, then a kettle should not be offered. • No cups or glasses were available at any time; I was only given a paper cup upon request. • No bathroom tissue was provided in the room. • There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or clothes. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the room temperature was adequate, and the breakfast was good. However, additional cups of coffee during breakfast came with an extra charge, and the overall menu was limited. Staff were friendly, but I received numerous phone calls from reception during my stay, which were unwelcome and disrupted my plans while out visiting attractions. Overall, despite the good location and cleanliness, the lack of basic amenities, unresolved maintenance issues, and surcharges service made for a negative experience. I w
