WIFI | AC | Gas Fireplace | Lake View & Lake Access | 1 Non Shedding Dog Allowed
There's a moment — right when you walk through the door — when the whole Great Room opens up in front of you. Floor-to-ceiling windows. The lake, straight ahead. Light everywhere. That feeling is why guests book Blue Bluff Beauty. This lakefront home sits on the bluffs five minutes south of Bayfield, with the world-renowned Lake Huron sunsets laid out in front of you from multiple perches: the fire pit, the back porch, and that big bright room that somehow makes the lake feel like part of the furniture.
For families and groups who want everyone in the same room — this is that cottage.
INSIDE
The Great Room is sunny, expansive, and generous — the kind of open-concept space where the cooking and the conversation and the card games all happen at once. At the center of it: a huge round dining table that seats 7, the kind you don't stop talking around. The gas fireplace anchors the room when the evenings cool down. Off the kitchen, a separate den with a pullout sectional gives the kids their own space for games and puzzles — which means the grownups actually get the Great Room to themselves.

BR #2 is on the main floor with a Queen bed.
BR #3 has a Single over Single bunk and Single over Double bunkbed

3 Piece Bathroom on the Main Floor

OUTSIDE
The sun loungers on the back deck are where the afternoon goes. The lake is right there in front of you, the light shifts, and nobody's in a hurry. This is the nap that fixes things — warm, unhurried, with the sound of the waves doing all the work.
When the weather calls for it — or even when it doesn't — the screened porch with its two skylights and mood lighting becomes the dinner table. It's sheltered, atmospheric, and completely its own thing. Evening meals here last longer than they should.
The fire pit on the bluff is where everyone ends up once the sun goes down. S'mores, wine, the kind of easy laughter that only happens when nobody has to be anywhere. As Peter put it: "there was always a new place to sit and enjoy the view." The fire pit is the last stop.
The new lake stairs (added 2025) take you down approximately 80 steps to your private stretch of Lake Huron. The lakebed shifts between sandy and stoney depending on what the lake is giving you that day — sandbars generally appear 3 feet out, the water is clean and clear, and the stone collecting is genuinely excellent. A geologist's paradise, a kid's afternoon obsession. Bring water shoes.
Note: *2025 -Newly Added stairs to access the Lake, right in your backyard - Approx. 80 stairs to the Lake*
The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.
