I was surprised by how nice this place is. I didn't see any elevators but carrying my baggage up the stairs was great exercise. The bed was comfortable. Fridge and microwave worked. Shower worked. Plus , extra nice bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, and soft kleenex tissues.

There is nothing around this place so you have to travel to get food. The breakfast was okay, there’s a do it yourself waffle maker which we liked. The property is older but they do the best with what they’ve got. We’d stay here again if we were visiting Radford but it’s too far from Virginia Tech and Blackford.

Unlike many other La Quintas visited, Radford is a bit run-down, needing a makeover. Most of the usual La Quinta expectations were met: clean & comfortable. But the overall condition needs a facelift to stay in line with usual expectations.

Couldn’t rouse the clerk at check in- had to call the desk while standing at it… he couldn’t log in to find my reservation and couldn’t tell what room was mine.. led to a room- key didn’t work, I had to wait until he came back with a key for a different room.. room and property are VERY outdated
