Hotel and room was nice, although there was no hot water the next morning even after running the shower for 15 minutes. I didn’t like having to pay $38 to valet as that was the only option for parking besides parking on the street next to the homeless encampment.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Birmingham Downtown. We booked this location because it was walking distance to Protective Stadium. We were first given a room on the second floor and as soon I walked in I went back downstairs to request a Suite. My original room was just too small and outdated. I was lucky to be able to get a newly renovated room on the 7th floor and let me tell you, it not only cleannn (obviously because it’s newly renovated) but it was also beautiful. The bed was very comfortable as well. My only cons was the lack of info on where to park ( I had to call the front desk), the price of Valet(because there’s no parking besides the street parking, and the homeless population across the street at the park.Thankfully it wasn’t on the walking route we took to the breezy concert. All in all we loved our stay.

I've never been to such a nice hotel that did not have a simple "VENT FAN"in the bathroom. 2 people, one bathroom, not always pleasant. Just couldn't believe there was no fan. Someone tried to enter the room while we were in there but I had the lock on. Scary. Spent a lot of money, should have felt safer in my room oh well right. Won't make that mistake again thanks for your time 0p

I liked the location of the property . The specific room we had I didn’t like the design; no doors to the bedroom and light shines through the windows at night. We discovered the outside patio furniture was broken on our first day in the room. The staff were exceptional and very easy to talk to.

Only reason it wasn't an excellent stay was the noise level from the next room. Walls were thin. They had a box fan in the closet which was nice to drown some of it out. No street noise. Beds comfortable. Love the Zero brand provided. Parking was by meter on street. Wide selection for breakfast on 8th floor.

We had no idea they had no hotel parking unless you wanted to pay $30 a night. We had to park on the street right in front of a homeless encampment. For what we paid a night to stay there I expected better. Overall the hotel was very nice. But didnt feel real safe parking the car on the street and walking to the hotel with the homeless encampment. Probably would not stay there again.

Amazing staff! I forgot her name but the valet woman was our first interaction! We went for our 3 year anniversary and I’m hoping to go there for my birthday weekend as well coming up! Fiancé loved the breakfast! I’m not a big breakfast person but everything looked fresh! The restaurant inside the building made our night! Such good service all around! No complaints besides one, we didn’t stay longer!!! LOL! Will be back!

NO self parking. Not even an option. $40 additional charge for 1 night parking. Glitch in key operated elevator which trapped us for a short time, but no acknowledgement or apology from desk clerk. I'm turned off by "indifference." After being helped by another hotel guest, front desk handed me a new elevator key and said, "this one should work." Valet gentlemen were wonderful. Helpful, kind, professional... Breakfast was nice. Room comfortable.

We had to come to UAB for my husband's medical issues. We were nervous until we were met by the relaxed helpful informative staff. From the valet to desk register to great restaurant on first floor to early breakfast on 8th floor our stay was safe. Reassuring was what we needed before speaking to the surgeon. Thank y'all we will be back.

We booked through Hotels.com, 2 rooms for 4 people. When we arrived, there was only 1 room reserved, although we had email confirmation of both rooms. The receptionist was so helpful and ensured a second room was available on the same floor, across from the original room. Our stay was very enjoyable. This was our second booking to stay at this hotel and we will stay again but will book directly with the hotel. We will not use Hotels.com again.
