It’s isolated and located right on a rich network of footpaths which is perfect for a countryside retreat. In December, the garden and surroundings were still full of birds and interesting mushrooms. Lovely attention to details, little messages throughout the house, a truly special place full of history! The owners are lovely and I was lucky enough to have a chat over tea with them as they live next door."

"We stayed here recently because our daughter was getting married locally. The house is a beautiful, characterful property, in an idyllic setting. There is everything you could need for a perfect stay here; from fully equipped kitchens in the main house and Barn to extremely comfortable beds. The owner; Jonathan, could not have been more helpful, communication was excellent and he even left us some food supplies and wine. Petworth is a lovely, interesting town and well worth a walk around, with several cafes and a co-op if needed. We wish we could have stayed longer!"
