Reviews of the lodge vary depending on the site checked. Things to consider: it is not far from a hospital (helicopters/ambulances) and the attached restaurant is closed except for occupant breakfast The Lodge itself is quite nice and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

The pictures did not reflect what the hotel looks like. Staff was nice but there is no great place for your pets outside to go to the bathroom because it is all parking lot.

The Dude Rancher Lodge made for an affordable stay in every sense. Clean and tidy room, accommodating staff, traditional no frills basic amenities and hometown atmosphere served my needs perfectly while my husband was recovering from surgery at a nearby hospital.

This is older (on historical list), but quaint and clean. Love the fireplace and gathering area, breakfast was in a separate dining room. We had the usual in-room amenities, and the front desk gals were really nice. You can walk to a number of restaurants, brew pub, etc, and the new, modern library is almost next door. We would stay again!
