Throwback gem

First off, you know what you're getting when you book here. It is a quaint, throwback hotel, adequately maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including when my neighbor left his TV on all night and had to be called to ask him to turn it off (the walls are thin, it wasn't *that* loud). Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would choose to stay here again.

Reviews of the lodge vary depending on the site checked. Things to consider: it is not far from a hospital (helicopters/ambulances) and the attached restaurant is closed except for occupant breakfast The Lodge itself is quite nice and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

The pictures did not reflect what the hotel looks like. Staff was nice but there is no great place for your pets outside to go to the bathroom because it is all parking lot.

The Dude Rancher Lodge made for an affordable stay in every sense. Clean and tidy room, accommodating staff, traditional no frills basic amenities and hometown atmosphere served my needs perfectly while my husband was recovering from surgery at a nearby hospital.
