Compare Hotels with Air Conditioning in Big Pine

"I don't need a lot, mainly just a clean room to sleep in, but this place is getting pretty spartan and maintenance is minimal (I have stayed here before). The room and bed were adequately clean, BUT: No bedside lamps, requiring that you must get out of bed to turn out the lights and walk back in the dark. Room is only serviced every two days, something that I saw no notice of. Toilet paper holder was clearly in need of service when I arrived, but they had simply pushed it together knowing that it would fall apart at first use. A couple of a minutes with a screwdriver would have fixed it, but they left it in pieces when the room was serviced. The shower curtain was simply on an expansion rod and fell down twice. The shower-head was clogged with rust and barely delivering enough liquid to rinse with. The exterior is a bit run down and in need of maintenance as well. So, hey, I slept fine and the room was clean, but I hope they're able to step up their game in the near future. I don't know if I'll stay here again."

"When I arrived an hour past check in my room wasn’t ready, and when I had asked for another room that was ready after 12 hour drive from up North, I was greeted with no apologies or reason why my room wasn’t ready and gave me a hard time to get another room, eventually after what seemed multiple minutes over the gentleman finally moved me into a room that was ready. I called ahead of check-in to assure my room was ready upon arrival given my lengthy travel, I was assured it would be by 4pm, in all I was able to get rest, the room they had me in was no where near or close to the room I reserved nor was I given an apology or acknowledgment on their lack of being ready on time. I slept okay, the room was clean, bed was so so. It was great location for being in my area of travel, staff could have been more friendly and helpful. "

"Nice motel. Clean and very nice staff. Breakfast was typical buffet, but they did keep it very clean which I appreciated. There was some road noise, but the location was good. The beds were nice and the water pressure was nice too."
