This a great little mountain cabin. It’s not ultra luxurious but it had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and private. No toaster but everything else was fine in the kitchen.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I usually book through the other one—both as a guest and a host—so I’m used to a certain level of basic amenities. I booked this stay through here and assumed it would be similar, but the house fell short in several simple areas: only one bathroom had hand soap (and it was a pump), there was no bath soap at all, no coffee, creamer, or sugar, and not even a box of Kleenex. The front half of the house was nicely updated, comfortable, and clean, though the lighting was very limited. The back portion of the house felt much older and in need of repairs. Inside overall, the home was clean, had central heat, and the kitchen was great—open, functional, and flowed well into the living room. My low cleanliness rating was due to the exterior. Both the front and back porch areas had seating and could have been really enjoyable, but they were so dirty and covered in cobwebs that they were basically unusable. It was disappointing because the weather was beautiful all weekend and it would have been nice to sit outside. The biggest frustration, though, was the trash policy. You don’t just take the trash out—you’re required to pack it out and take it with you when you leave. For the cost we paid for the 2 nights, being told to haul your trash away or be charged an extra fee felt unreasonable.
