Sadly I can not leave a good review for the staff. After our first wonderful night, a storm passed through Big Bear the next morning. Sadly, the entire valley lost electricity and we were basically stranded with no food, drinks, or communication. The most help we received was when we talked with a cook. The staff were useless and of no help. My sister and I are elderly, and we needed food. We didn't even have WIFI. The staff would just shrug their shoulders. Useless and with no hospitality training. They should have opened up the bar area to all the guests and provided water, snacks, and support with communication. It should have been a safe haven instead ot total isolation. We drove around the lake and saw that there was nothing open. Finally, after no breakfast or lunch and no prediction of when electricity would be restored, we decided to leave. I believe we should have been given a refund for the three nights we planned to stay on but no such refund was provided. So overall the location of the hotel was wonderful, but the inept and poorly trained staff failed us and ruined our vacation. I will never stay there again.

I loved this property and will certainly return next time I visit Big Bear! That said, they were definitely unstaffed which led to some not so great service. When we first arrived at 7pm we had to wait almost an hour to check in because the front desk agent was on her dinner break. I totally understand everyone needs a break but there should definitely be a manager to cover breaks! It was a Friday night and the property was definitely busy. Then when we got to the room, the keypad didn’t work so we had to call and get that sorted out. Then I tried to get a breakfast sandwich and was told that the employee who makes them called out sick and no one could cover. It just seemed so odd to me that twice in a two night stay it was clear that they need more help. That said, the property was beautiful, the rooms very clean and nice and the food was delicious!

Very Nice Motel

Very nice motel. Only complaints are no microwave and no coffee machine in the rooms. There are 3 floors but no elevators. Carrying up bags can be a chore if a 3rd floot room. Great location and staff is very friendly.

Beautiful and new, modern - lovely appointed rooms with super bedding, Aesop skin care. Enjoyed the garden with direct access from 1st floor rooms, the pool, amazing location on the lake The Village is 5 minutes away with a variety of dining options. Very dog friendly. For now, no coffee maker or microwave in the room, but there is a small fridge. Staff is very friendly and happy to assist with any requests. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, i will be certainly back!

I enjoyed myself staying in this cute hotel, so many amenities including sauna , jacuzzi etc and most important there is a lake access from the property. I stayed in king size bed room with a lake view, room was pretty small but I didn’t even mind that , there was few things like lack of closet space, table in a room , or coffee maker , it was dark in a vanity area. So little tweaking is necessary to make the room amazing but overall I would still highly recommend that hotel. Staff was so helpful and kind! 9/10 experience!
