Recently did the Spartan Race in Big Bear. The hotel was in walking distance (~15 min) from Big Bear Mountain Resort. Hotel was clean, plenty of lounge space, breakfast was good, and staff were friendly and offered tips of where to eat. Its also less than 10 min drive from just about anything to do in town. Definitely will book again when visiting.

What a nice hotel. It appears to be brand new and well maintained. It was clean and bright and new. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our comfy beds and the full breakfast each morning. The hotel is in the town of Big Bear, a few blocks from the "village" area. We drove, but you could probably walk. There is a nice seating area outside with firepits. We would stay again for sure.

The power went out 7:45 to 10:05 pm. The employee said that happens several times a year. And there is no back up generator to supply power when that happens. Unable to run heater in room during that time. It was pretty cool in the room. If this is an ongoing issue, the. Supply a back up generator so the guests are not completely impacted every time.
