it was a really cool hotel to see. was not impressed with the cleanliness of it at all! it had dirt everywhere and hadn't had new bed sheets in a long time. I know that it was built in 1917 but you could have at least updated it some and cleaned it since then.

Red Roof Marietta is an older motel that is being remodeled. The location is excellent-right off I-77 and very near to stores and restaurants. A place to sleep and shower for a couple nights was a good deal for the price. While the room (2 beds) does not come standard with hair dryer and coffee maker, all I had to do was ask the front desk and they were provided! The water was hot, had great pressure. The room was quiet, the bed very comfortable I rated cleanliness at 3 for the simple fact that it appeared the room had been empty for awhile and had some dust and that closed up fragrance. Pets stay free, which is also a plus for my travels. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in and Check out was a breeze.

We have stayed in Parkersburg before at the Blennerhassett, and this hotel room was just as nice as the Blennerhassett, for cheaper. This hotel also included breakfast, which the other does not. We did not spend much time at the hotel, but the shwers wee nice, the shower heads had great water pressure and different flow options, the towels were clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay. To be honest the last few Holiday Inns we've stayed in were somewhat disappointing. The location was great, close to Wayne National Forest! It was also close to Front Street (Marietta)where all the shops are. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again!
