The hotel itself is great. The surrounding area is a little concerning. Not going to put blame on the hotel BUT there is a LARGE unhoused community behind the hotel. This is a city/government issue: lack of jobs, resources, housing, education, and etc.

We really appreciate being able to check in late after a long drive. We’ve stayed here for several years during an annual trip to Lake Michigan & to see family. The breakfasts are beautiful. We always request a room looking into the trees. - it is a beautiful scene. The beds & pillows are the best. Highly recommended.
