As many other reviewers stated, the hotel is older and dated but refurbished and clean. The mattress was quite firm. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was quiet despite being in close proximity to I-5, and the heating system was quiet as well. We did not notice any train horn noise that is common in many area hotels. Bring a clothes pin or clip to hold the drapes together. The vent fan in the (tiny) bathroom was efficient. There was an elevator serving multiple floors. Breakfast was minimalistic with 2 kinds of cold cereal, 2 choices of fruit, waffles/syrup, bagels/bread/sweet rolls, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, and common toppings for instant oatmeal and bread. Nothing fancy and a true continental breakfast. Parking was easy/accessible with larger parking spaces and the lot was fairly well lighted. There were no obvious signs of “urban decay” and I felt safe arriving and departing in the dark. I was satisfied with the value for the price and short time we spent at Bay City Inn.

Clean rooms, good bathroom, hot shower. Not super updated, but very clean and helpful staff. TV worked, wifi worked. Breakfast was hot. Two thumbs up!

There was dirty underwear on the back of the bathroom door. We don’t want to be rude but feel we needed to mention it. In person, I was feeling too uncomfortable to ask for a refund but feel like I should have.
