Peaceful, private Ottertail Lake Retreat

Privacy is at a premium on this lake, and this home has it. If you are searching for a peaceful retreat on a premier lake in Ottertail County, you need to take a look at this tranquil five-bedroom home. Situated on the southwest shores of Ottertail Lake, you will find a huge 200’ sandy beach perfect for lounging or sand castle building. Trees provide a buffer between this home and the homes on either side. Ottertail Lake has excellent clarity for swimming, fishing, and recreational activities. Outdoor living is maximized with this home, with two decks, plus another deck to lounge on next to the beach. A large shady yard provides the privacy and serenity we all crave, with plenty of space for outdoor games. There are five bedrooms available in this home which sleeps at least 9 people comfortably. This home is a short six miles from the quaint and friendly town of Battle Lake, where you will find an impressive selection of dining establishments and many fun shops to browse. Six miles east is the charming town of Ottertail; a must if you're interested in a fun girls' day out shopping. Kayaks are available to enjoy a leisurely paddle along the picturesque shoreline. You will undoubtedly enjoy the convenience of boating up to two dining establishments without the hassle of finding parking space. Take a short bike ride to an ice cream shop along highway 78. Bring your clubs to play a round at Balmoral Golf Course, a beautiful 18-hole golf course, or Balmoral North, a par 3 course, which is less than two miles away. Head farther east for more golfing at Thumper Pond Golf Course, about six miles away, which also includes a hotel with a water park for entertaining the little ones on those rainy days. Be sure to visit beautiful Glendalough State Park and take a bike ride along the bike trail which leads to downtown Battle Lake. Beautiful Maplewood State Park is also a short drive away. Simply Wonderful

We can attest to other 10/10 reviews!! This property and the owners ensured our family vaca was more than wonderful. Great location for outings near or far and plenty of entertainment if staying in. From the decks and very nice beach, the private outdoor spaces are great. The owners were quick to respond and were very helpful.

Great stay

There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living room space for all 11 of us. The beach and dock were beautiful! The home owners are so friendly and accommodating. The house is stocked with everything you need. Very close to fun little towns to explore. Thank you for staying in touch with us and answering any questions we had.

Family vacation

There were nine adults and a one year-old in our party, and the house had enough room for everyone to be comfortable and everyone enjoyed it. A couple couples said the beds were not by any means the most comfortable & that was the only negative I heard. I’d have to say our favorite was the big yard, the private beach, and lake area, and all of the water toys that came with the rental. The location is perfect & close to a couple towns if you need anything or want to enjoy some cute shops. The owners are very helpful with any of your needs or questions.

The Perfect Place on Ottertail Lake!

The lake access at this property was amazing! There was a nice big *private* sandy beach, long dock, and several water toys to keep you busy on the lake. You can catch the sunrises and sunsets over Ottertail from the end of the dock. The house was perfect for our large group and well stocked with everything we needed. There was an extra refrigerator and beverage cooler in the basement that was very handy for extra food keeping drinks cold all week long. That was a bonus to have with our large group! The beds and furniture were super comfortable and there was plenty of seating inside and out for dining and games. The owner was also super helpful and very responsive to making our stay as comfortable as possible If you're looking for a place in the lake, this place us highly recommended!!

Beautiful lakeside home

We loved everything about this home! Plenty of space both inside and out. The outdoor space felt very private as there are trees lining both sides of the property. The yard and beach were well maintained. Our kids had so much fun playing on the shoreline. Lots of sand and water toys available for use. Owners had great communication and answered our questions before and during our stay. This home had everything we were looking for in a lake vacation.

Wonderful home and beach

Steve & Lisa were the perfect hosts. They were there if we needed anything. The house is gorgeous and the beach and grounds were perfect for the kids. Could not have had a better location and vacation. We left some kids swimsuits and hats in the dryer and Steve and Lisa are mailing them to us. Awesome people!

Fantastic Otter Tail Lake Home

Couldn’t ask for more. Spacious. Kids had a blast. Swam every day with no issues. Cooking facilitates top notch. Caught fish. Popped over to Zorbaz. Very secluded from neighbors. Easy to get to. True paradise.

Excellent family getaway!

This home and location was perfect for our family trip. We had 7 adults and 3 kids; there was plenty of space for all! The property was spacious and felt very private. The yard and beach were perfect for kids to spend all day outside. The kitchen was more than well stocked and the entire place had everything we needed for our 7 day vacation and was very clean when we arrived. We did bring our family ski/wake boat and had no issues anchoring it near the dock. If you are looking for a family getaway on a quiet side of Otter Tail, this is it. The hosts were great, responsive, and accommodating to any needs or questions we had.

Perfect for a family getaway

Beautiful property on a gorgeous lake. The beds were comfortable, the lake house was well-stocked, it was clean and spacious. Lots of out door space for the kids to play and multiple other outdoor sitting areas. The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Another year of making memories in a beautiful rental!! The owners, Steve and Lisa, went above and beyond on providing us with all the amenities for a wonderful stay.
