Metropolitan hotels are often a dime-a-dozen. This one distinguishes itself because it’s Southern, through and through, from the lovely greetings offered by the doormen to the servers at breakfast. The beautiful view from our balcony facing the Mississippi River only added to the hotel’s appeal.

The room smelled like urine , and so did the whole 9th floor. We started sneezing the moment we got in . The shower had someone else's hair and the paint was coming off. There was a piece of the wall missing. Only reason why we didn't ask to be moved it's because we were exhausted.
