This place is an absolute gem. Excellent location, great rooms (with ac!) good shared bathroom, and staff are really nice and accommodating. Fairly inexpensive too! My partner and I were backpacking across Spain and this was our favorite place that we stayed in. 100% will go back

Perfect budget hotel in a great neighbourhood

This is a fantastic budget hotel in the perfect location! Firm and comfortable bed, a private shower in the room (which we weren't expecting), powerful A/C, and friendly service. It is in walking distance to almost everything, surrounded by great coffee shops and restaurants, and well-connected to transit. Amazing value for the price. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it highly.

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Dragonfly BCN. Our room was spacious and clean. It was situated on the street side so it was noisy. Fortunately, noise and light don’t bother me therefore I was able to sleep. We like the location of the place in terms of closeness to dining places, metro, super market, pharmacy, etc.

Finding the location was pretty straightforward. All the staff that we encountered were incredibly kind and professional. Great location for exploring the Gothic Quarter and other parts of Barcelona! The room was small, but had everything you could need and was quite clean. Our only complaint was that the walls were a bit thin, so the people in the room next to you can really impact the enjoyment of your stay. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I loved the location, and Angel was very nice and helpful. The walls are pretty thin but it wasn't busy enough to be an issue. There wasn't an elevator and we were on the third floor, but luckily my friend and I are able to climb stairs without issue.

I forgot to check if the hotel had an elevator but thankfully, a staff member helped us with one of our luggage. The place is really clean, but I would suggest they use a disinfectant that does not have a strong scent because the room smelled more like a hospital. Other than that, our overall experience is really good.

The owners are helpful and accommodating. The room was very basic and had a few amenities such as towels and bathrobes. No elevator so if you have heavy luggage and are on the upper floors, it’s a long way up. Two toilets and 1 shower for a number of rooms. A sink in every room would be appreciated.

Reasonable hostel but not great

Not as good as many hostels around LaRambla. In the first hostel I stayed on near a street running parallel, for less money, I got breakfast, had my own bathroom and toilet and comfortable furniture Reception at Dragonfly is only open for a few hours a day, quite a walk to get to tourist sites, and rooms are poorly furnished. It was ok, very clean but the shower for example is so small that you either have a shower curtain stuck to your back or your belly pushing the tap closed. Soap in the shower was very cheap and not pleasant smelling. All up I wouldn't go back there when so many better options are available. Owner/manager is very pleasant and helpful.

En enkel typ av boende, precis som kan förvÀntas av beskrivningen "hostal". Det Àr ett gammalt lÀgenhetshus dÀr varje plan byggts om till att hysa flera rum. VÄrt plan hade ett delat badrum/dusch och strax utanför ytterliggare en toalett bakom en tunn dragspelsdörr. NÄgot otippat fungerade detta alldeles utmÀrkt under de fem dagar vi bodde dÀr - bara en morgon behövde jag vÀnta pÄ att kunna duscha. VÀrden tog emot oss, berÀttade att nyckeln gick till alla dörrar (ytterdörr, vÄningsdörr och rumsdörr) och sÄ var det allt. Föredömligt smidigt! StÀdningen var ocksÄ utmÀrkt, lika frÀscht som man kan förvÀnta sig av ett hotell med fler stjÀrnor. Inget att anmÀrka pÄ dÀr. Det enda negativa var nog att pÄ grund av husets natur sÄ Àr det ocksÄ *vÀldigt* lyhört. Jag och min dotter Àr duktiga pÄ att sova, sÄ det störde inte oss nÄgot, men den som Àr kÀnslig bör kanske fundera pÄ ett annat boende.
