We weren’t informed that the lift wasn’t working and lugging a suitcase up four flights of stairs wasn’t easy! A kettle in the room would have been nice! The Building has no indication that it is a hotel. You wouldn't know it unless you know the address. There is no lobby as the hotel part of this building starts on the 4th floor. The absolute worst part was the elevator did not work, so had to carry 2 full bags up 4 floors. the our room was 1 more up on the 5th floor. this was a brutal walk up and down for older folks like us. Staff was nice, thankfully and the room was clean.

Fontanella was perfect for our stay in Barcelona! The location is so convenient for accessing everything we wanted to see, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean! Only downside was how small the room was but we knew that beforehand and it had everything we needed with a great little balcony and view of the street.
