The towns of Boone and Banner Elk are around 15 miles distant, and Valle Crucis, home to the Original Mast General Store and a riverfront community park, is about 14 miles away. The Tennessee border is approximately 7 miles from the cabin, with Watauga Lake accessible just a few miles past the state line. Beech Mountain Ski Resort, less than 10 miles away, provides year-round outdoor adventures, including skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating in winter. During the summer months, the ski runs transform into mountain biking and hiking trails, as well as disc golf courses. Don't miss the scenic chairlift ride to the mountain's summit, where you can savor breathtaking views with a drink in hand. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is also nearby, approximately 17 miles away.

The family room features vaulted ceilings and a stacked-stone gas fireplace, providing a warm glow that fills the open-concept living area. Here, you can relax on plush furniture and enjoy the sounds of nature throughout the seasons. The spacious kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink, and a large island with bar seating. The dining table comfortably accommodates eight guests. Step outside onto the expansive deck, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the creek. Whether sipping coffee at sunrise or stargazing at night, the deck offers a perfect vantage point to soak in the tranquility and beauty of this mountain paradise. A gas grill is available on the covered porch, ideal for preparing fresh vegetables and burgers for dinner.
Adventure awaits in the lower-level game room, which features comfortable furniture around a large TV and a wood-burning fireplace. Guests can enjoy friendly matches on the shuffleboard table or test their skills at the dartboard and axe-throwing game. Gather around the game table for cards or a home-cooked meal. A covered hot tub on the back deck ensures comfortable relaxation, regardless of the weather. Upstairs in the loft, guests will find a sitting area with an HDTV, exposed beams, and windows showcasing views of the lush surroundings.
Hideaway Cabin at Buckeye Creek accommodates up to 15 guests across five sleeping areas. The master bedroom on the main floor includes a king bed, TV, and a private ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower and double vanities. Upstairs features a queen bedroom and a bunk room that sleeps four, with a twin bunk bed and a king bed. The lower level includes two additional queen rooms and a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. Additional sleeping options include a Queen sleeper sofa in the loft and a twin daybed in the lower-level game room.
Hideaway Cabin at Buckeye Creek features central heating and air conditioning, WiFi, a laundry room, a wood-burning fire pit, and a gas fire table. Please note that the road leading to the cabin is a steep, gravel mountain road. The driveway is also steep, with parking available for four vehicles in a level gravel area. All-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) is strongly recommended year-round, and tire chains may be necessary during winter weather.
